The Gates Room
Our Computer Training Room ‘The Gates Room’ is equipped with 12 'state of the art' computers with LCD monitors, in a fully air conditioned spacious room. The Gates Room is also fitted with a HDTV Data Projector and screen, for easy demonstrations. All computers have CD-Rom drives, and equipped with USB and Firewire. All computers have monitored Internet access. The computers have installed the necessary software for all types of computer activities, these include:
- Windows XP 2003
- Excel 2003
- PowerPoint 2003
- Publisher 2003
- Access 2003
- Outlook 2003
The Gates Room is equipped with Colour, and Black and White Laser Printers (Charges apply for printing).
Instructor:
A computer instructor is available for hire at professional rates, subject to normal duties.
Times are to be negotiated with users. (Hire of the Gates Training Room, with the applicant supplying an instructor, is by application)
The Gates Training Room can also convert to a conference room and hold a maximum of 30 participants at any one time / approx. 12 when computers in use
KENG can also assist through our Occasional Childcare facilities available for 0 – 5 year olds on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am – 1 pm, at a cost of $4.00 per hour per child.
The computer training facilities were made possible with the generous funding provided by the Gambling Community Benefit Fund, Microsoft Unlimited Potential, Dept Housing Community Renewal – Kingston, and Logan City Council
